With summer around the corner, I know that means a lot of get togethers, BBQs, and picnics. So I thought for the June baking challenge let’s make a classic blondie that you can customize any which way you want. They are easy to throw together and always a huge crowd pleaser!
Summer is basically here right? I mean Memorial day has come and gone. And that means our social schedule seems to fill up pretty fast. We always seem to have a bunch of fun get togethers and I always am requested to bring dessert. Ok, maybe I’m the one that suggests that I bring dessert. Either way. I’m bringing it.
But in the summertime, I like to keep the complicated desserts to a minimum. I mean complicated is fine and can be fun. But in the summer, I want simple and fast. So I figured I am not alone! So for this challenge this month I wanted something that you can make that’s easy and quick, and you can bring to a get together- enter the blondie. This simple bar cookie is always a huge hit- no matter how I make it. In fact, one friend even hid the whole batch on
I’ve made multiple versions of the blondie on this blog. I can’t help it. It’s fun to add in different mix-ins. So I’ll give you a few recipes for inspiration, but really sky’s the limit. So have some fun with this challenge and make these blondies your own!
Here is how to participate in the challenge:
- Make and Comment: Bake The Best Blonde Brownie Recipe and come back and comment and let me know how it went! Here are a few different variations for you as well you might like to try – White Chocolate Snickerdoodle Blondies, Reese’s Peanut Butter Blondies, and Browned Butter M&M Cookie Bars

every time i stray away from your site, i wind up getting linked to you anyway. i wanted to do something with these butterscotch chips and wasn t feeling inspired, so i scoured the internet. then i thought, hey, blondies with the chips sound pretty decadent, let me find a blondie recipe. somehow i wound up being linked to your site, i think via another blog, and as soon as i saw this i was like ok no question, baking this now. they are freaking DECADENT and my boyfriend has already requested that i not take any to work with me or give any away. so thank you, so much, for posting this, and doing it in such a way that it s pretty easy to memorize the concept and i ll be able to use it again and again.
