CITRUS  SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE

This sour cream pound cake recipe gets even better with citrus zest and a lemon glaze poured over it. It’s super moist and is the only pound cake recipe I use.

1. Position a rack in the center of your oven and preheat to 350°F/177°C.

PREHEAT THE OVEN

2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside.

SIFT THE DRY INGREDIENTS

3. In a second small bowl, stir together the sour cream, vanilla, and grated orange, lemon, and lime zests. Set aside.

COMBINE & STIR

4. In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer (or a stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment), cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes on medium high speed.
