DIY brown sugar

Make your own brown sugar at home with two simple ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 T molasses

Instructions

  • Simply stir the granulated sugar and molasses together in a bowl with a whisk until completely combined. Don't be afraid to use your (clean)hands to get it completely combined. At first it may not all come together. Don't be afraid to get in there with your hands (just make sure you washed them first please!). If you want dark brown sugar, add another tablespoon of molasses. This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled, quadrupled, ok you get the idea. Be sure to store in an airtight container. Use a piece of bread (or tortilla for no crumbs!) to ensure it stays soft.
