Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
A classic chocolate chip cookie recipe that you can't go wrong with!
* 1 1/4 cups flour
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 cup butter
1 stick, softened to room temperature
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 1/4 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
* 1 egg
* 1 cup chocolate chips
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a cookie with parchment paper and set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, combine your flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk and set aside.
In a stand mixer, combine your butter and sugars. Cream on medium speed for 2-3 minutes.
Add in your egg and vanilla. Mix to combine , about 1 minute.
Add your dry ingredients. Mix just until combined. Stir in your chocolate chips.
Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, scoop your cookies and place on your prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for about 12 minutes until golden brown.
Remove cookies and place on a cooling rack.
I enjoyed these cookies with room temperature butter but I found even melted butter worked great- just spread a bit more but had more chew!
