When it comes to enjoying some Sunday night football nothing beats a crunchy snack in my opinion. Why You Will Love This Ranch Party Mix
- All my favorite things in a bowl!
- Quick snack recipe that takes 5 minutes to prepare
- Bakes up quickly in 15 minutes or less!
- Easily able to mix up and use different cereals and crackers
- Can make a big batch for any holiday party, game-day snacking, or long road trips!
Ingredients Needed
- Bugles
- Cheez-It cheese crackers
- Mini pretzel twists
- Oyster crackers
- Chex cereal – You can use rice chex, corn chex or wheat chex cereal
- Unsalted butter – I preferred unsalted butter because salted butter can make the snack mix too salty.
- Ranch mix – Any brand of dry ranch seasoning works. Hidden Valley Ranch is most commonly found in the grocery store. Or use a homemade ranch seasoning.
- Parmesan – You want finely grated parmesan or the kind found in a shaker bottle.
- Garlic powder
How To Make This Ranch Chex Mix Recipe
Preheat the oven to 325โ.
Pour the Bugles, Cheez-Its, pretzels, oyster crackers, and Chex into a large mixing bowl.
Melt the butter in a small microwavable bowl and pour it over the Chex mix in the bowl. Use a spatula or large spoon to carefully stir the mixture until coated with the butter.
In a small bowl, mix the Ranch seasoning, parmesan, and garlic powder.
Pour half of the seasoning mixture over the Chex mix and gently stir to distribute.
Add the remaining half of the seasoning mixture and stir until the Chex mixture is evenly coated.
Pour the coated Chex mix onto a large sheet pan in a single layer.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the ranch seasoning is baked into the Chex mix and the tops turn golden brown.
Let the Chex mix cool and serve at room temperature.
Recipe Tips
- There is no need to stir or flip the Chex mix unless they are not arranged in a single layer. If the pan is overcrowded, you can stir the mixture halfway through to ensure even baking.
- The grated parmesan bought in a shaker works best for this recipe as it coats the mix easily.
Recipe Variations
- You can spice up this recipe by adding some chili powder or red pepper flakes to the Ranch seasoning mixture.
- Any of the snack ingredients can be swapped out for your favorites. Goldfish, nuts, Fritos BBQ Twists, bagel chips, and many other snack foods work well in this recipe. Just keep the ratio of butter and seasonings the same.
- Add some salted peanuts or corn nuts to the snack mix for more crunch.
- Add a dash of hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce for a little kick and more savory flavor.
- Add a pinch of onion powder for a little more zest.
Storage FAQs
