Why This Simple Fudge Recipe Works
- Made on the stovetop (or could be made in your microwave)
- Uses just 6 ingredients – it’s an easy fudge recipe made with condensed milk
- No candy thermometer!
- Takes minutes to mix together
- Made in just one bowl (aka your saucepan)
- Perfect for Easter season!
Ingredients Needed
- Semisweet chocolate – I used chopped chocolate but chocolate chips will also work but will be a bit more difficult to melt.
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Unsalted butter – If using salted butter, omit the added salt.
- Salt
- Pure Vanilla extract
- Cadbury mini eggs – I gave these a rough chop into small pieces and left some whole for placing on top.
How To Make Cadbury Mini Egg Fudge
Line an 8-inch pan with parchment paper or wax paper and set aside. I like to leave an overhang so I can easily lift the fudge out and cut it into squares.
In a medium saucepan, set over medium-low heat, combine the chocolate chips, butter and condensed milk, and salt together.
Stir until melted and smooth.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and ยฝ of the Cadbury mini eggs. It can be tough to stir in the eggs so do the best you can!
Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and smooth the top.
Top the fudge layer with remaining Cadbury mini eggs. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
Remove the fudge from the pan, lifting out the paper, and then cut into squares and serve.
Recipe Tips
- Line your pan with parchment paper. And make sure to leave some excess overhang so itโs easier to remove from the pan when itโs time to cut the fudge into squares.
- Cut the fudge while itโs cold. When you remove the fudge from the fridge, immediately cut the the fudge into squares while itโs cold. It will be easier to cut when itโs cold.
- Use a hot knife to cut the fudge. I run a sharp chefโs knife under hot water, then wipe clean, and then cut the fudge. The hot knife will slice cleanly through the fudge.
- Use semi-sweet chocolate chips not milk. Milk chocolate chips will make the fudge too sweet I think. You could always try with half semi-sweet and half milk chocolate chips.
- Cook over a medium-low heat. Do not turn the heat up too high or you may end up with burnt chocolate and your fudge may come out grainy.
Recipe Variations
- Use a different chocolate – You can use dark chocolate chips or try white chocolate chips and make a white chocolate fudge!
- Use cadbury creme eggs instead – Love creme eggs? Then swap out the mini eggs and use chopped Cadbury creme eggs and make a cadbury creme egg fudge version!
- Add some Easter sprinkles! – Sprinkle on some pastel sprinkles for a fun easy Easter fudge treat!

Yes, just make sure you use a big enough stockpot. And instead of using a square pan use a 9×13 pan.
โYes you can make this in the microwave instead. Use a microwave-safe bowl. I recommend heating in 30-second increments and stirring in between to make sure to not burn the chocolate.
