How to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius:
If you need to make a temperature conversion from Fahrenheit scale to using the Celsius scale when cooking then you need to do a little math!
To convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius:
(Fahrenheit temperature – 32) multiply by 5, then divide by 9
For example, let’s say you want to convert 350oF to Celsius. It would be:
350 – 32 = 318
318 x 5 = 1590
1590 divide by 9 = 176.67 (or rounded 177oC)
How to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit
To convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit, you just need to do a little math in the other direction! Here’s how:
To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit:
Celsius temperature x 9, divide by 5, then add 32.
For example let’s convert it back the other way for 177oC.
177 x 9 = 1593
1593 divide by 5 = 318.6
318.6 + 32 = 350
