These four ingredient peppermint bark Oreos are an easy festive no bake treat to make for any cookie platter! In just a few short minutes you can have these peppermint Oreos ready to eat.

If there’s one holiday treat I can’t resist making every single year, it’s peppermint bark and chocolate covered Oreos. So I thought why not combine the two into easy, festive treat.
These Peppermint Bark Oreos are the kind of treats I make when I want something that looks impressive on a cookie tray but have zero time to do anything. They take about 10 minutes to put together, and makes me feel like I’ve checked off “holiday baking” without even turning on the oven. They are perfect for gifting, parties, stocking stuffers—even cookie boxes you need to prep days ahead.
Let’s make a batch (or three). Some for you, some for gifting. You get the idea.

Ingredients
- Oreos (regular or Double Stuff both work!) – For more mint flavor try Mint Oreos!
- White chocolate chips – Or chopped white chocolate
- Peppermint extract – This extract is strong so start with less. You can always add more.
- Crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
- Optional: 1 teaspoon shortening, coconut oil, or vegetable oil – to keep the white chocolate smooth and shiny. Note: not shown in the ingredients below.

How to Make Peppermint Bark Oreos
Prep your pan
Line a baking sheet or 9×13-inch pan with parchment or wax paper. This keeps the Oreos from sticking once the chocolate hardens and makes cleanup so much easier.
Melt the white chocolate
Add your white chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each one.
You can also add a teaspoon of shortening, or oil to the chocolate before melting it. It helps to keep it smooth and shiny. Not necessary but I like the addition!
White chocolate can scorch quickly, so the stirring is key. You can also do this in a double boiler, or a heat proof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Just make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
Once fully melted, whisk in your mint extract. If you want more of the classic Oreo flavor to come through, feel free to use just a tiny splash—or skip it entirely. I recommend starting with a 1/2 teaspoon and give it taste. I like to add up to a teaspoon but I like a lot of peppermint flavor!

Dip the Oreos
Working one at a time, dip each Oreo into the melted white chocolate, coating it completely. Use a fork to lift the cookie out and tap lightly on the edge of the bowl to let excess chocolate drip off. I like to then give the bottom a scrape along the bowl as well to remove excess chocolate.

Place each dipped Oreo on your prepared pan, then sprinkle immediately with crushed peppermint—once the chocolate starts to set, the candy won’t stick as well.

Chill and enjoy
Pop the pan into the fridge until the chocolate firms up. They firm up pretty quickly. Once set, they’re ready to eat! I promise you will “just try one”… and then suddenly three more disappear.
I usually get about 16 Oreo cookies dipped, but you may get one or two more or less. If using Double stuff cookies you will get less.
