Hey friends! Can you believe it’s that time of year again? If you’re like me you have already started thinking about all your holiday shopping to do. And maybe what YOU would like. I know the special people in my life have already sent the e-mails “what do you want this year?”.  I have always been that person too that spends way too much thinking and researching for that PERFECT gift for someone. I don’t want to just get them anything. I want something for them that really speaks to who they are, something meaningful, that they will use and LOVE time and time again.

Maybe something they need or better yet, want. This list will keep the bakers in your life happy (and you too when you get to eat those desserts they make!) all year long.

#1: Kitchenaid Stand Mixer

You guys. I’m not gonna lie, I just asked for a second (yup, second!) mixer. For any baker, a kitchen-aid mixer is a must have. A stand mixer allows you to mix your ingredients, while you do something else. Anything from prep your cookie sheets to even get some dishes done while your butter and sugar cream together. It’s perfect for cookies and cakes. But I also use my stand mixer to knead my dough for me for homemade rolls. Or easily whip meringue for macarons. When it comes to holidays, my mixer makes my life so much easier. And trust me, this gift they will have for YEARS.

Here are some recipes that just get easier when using a stand mixer vs. a hand mixer.

#2- Pastry Mat When it comes to rolling out cinnamon roll dough, or pie crust, or anything that is going to stick to my counter out comes my pastry mat. This  not only prevents my dough from sticking it also has measurements on the side so I can roll my dough to exactly the size I need.

#3 Gift Card To Baking/Cake Decorating Supply Store –  A gift card can feel not personal enough sometimes, but I believe a gift card to someone’s favorite store says I know you and care about you (but also I have no idea what you already own!). I love getting a gift card to my favorite store to get new goodies- and wait to use it when there is a sale at some point in the year. And so if your baker seems to have just about everything then a gift card might be the best thing ever for them.  Michael’s are known for their fabrics and craft supplies, but they also have a great cake decorating and baking supply section. Your baker loved one can stock up on new products, sprinkles (my personal favorite), and whatever else tickles their fancy.

#4 Online Baking Class

If your loved one loves to bake, or simply wants to learn more, then I just can’t help but mention my  own online class I created – Ultimate Baking Bootcamp! You can check out the class here and give it as gift. We dive into the 6 common mixing methods and the science behind the ingredients!

You might also like giving a Craftsy class as a gift too.

Now this one is a fun, unique one that your mom, sister, friend, whoever won’t see coming. Imagine a whole class on whatever they want to learn about it. I’ve taken quite a few classes through Craftsy and they all have been so fantastic. From cupcakes to french macarons to bread making. You name it they got

it.

#5- Macaron Mat- Making macarons can be tricky. Ok, they can be a lot tricky. Who are we kidding they are a delicate French cookie made from whipped egg whites. So any help in making macarons is seriously welcomed. Especially, a macaron mat. I’ve used this macaron mat, and the tool to squeeze the batter out is worth it alone. But a “>silpat with the circles is also a great choice. The“> silpat mat for macarons also means it can be used for not just macarons, but for any kind of cookie they want to make. I love when my baking tools are multi-functional, and trust me your baker will too.

Related Gift: A macaron cookbook is also a great gift to go along with this! I love this macaron cookbook and have used it several times.

#6- Kitchen Torch  Now this is a FUN gift for a baker. And a great way for them to try out recipes like creme brulee or torch their meringue for a lemon pie.  I’ve tried placing a dessert under the broiler if it needs to be torched and it can be done, but there is a greater chance of the dessert going up in flames and being ruined (can you tell I know this from experience). A kitchen torch offers much greater control when torching their desserts. For the bakers with a pyro side, get them a kitchen torch. They will love you for it.

I’ve used mine to make these fluffernutter cupcakes and lemon meringue cupcakes with great success.

#7- Cupcake Piping Tip Set  Making cupcakes look like they come from a bakery, means you need the right tools to do so. And that means starting with a piping tip set made for cupcakes. Large decorating tips is the first thing I tell someone to get if they want tips on how to make beautiful looking cupcakes. There are 4 tips that I use all the time, and this piping tip set includes them all. If your baker loves making cupcakes or wants to get into making them- then this cupcake decorating tip set is exactly what they need.

#8- Copper Mixing Bowl

Ok this item is on MY Christmas wish list (Hey Mom, you listening?) :). If you have ever seen Julie and Julia (movie about Julia Child) you see here whipping her egg whites in a copper bowl. A copper bowl is recommended in French baking to properly whip your egg whites (there is a whole chemical reaction that I could go into, but I’ll spare you).  These bowls if washed and dried properly will last hundreds of years. Yup, hundreds. So basically you are not just getting them a gift, but a potential family heirloom that can be passed down from generation to generation. How cool is that? Most bowls can warp, retain odors, chip, and break. Not so with these copper bowls. An investment, sure totally worth it.

#9- Digital Kitchen Scale
A person who loves to bake, definitely needs a digital kitchen scale. From making macarons, to simply making every recipe accurate it’s a must have. This is one of those need and must have all at the same time.

#10- The Fearless Baker

Ok this cookbook is also on my wish list. This book is all about teaching you the how’s and the why’s behind recipes so you can bake like a pro. Recipes range from easy to difficult, with “pro tips” and “make ahead” instructions. The author and creator behind the recipes, Erin McDowell is the top food stylist and baking columnist for Food52.com so you know everything you try out of this book is going to be great.

She hopes with her cookbook, if you understand the why behind a step you will be able to approach baking with confidence. And become as the title suggests, a fearless baker. With over 300 pages, this tome is going to become a staple on the counter. I guarantee it. Whether the baker in your life is a beginner or even bakes every day- this thing is chock full of great information. Can you tell I already put one in my Amazon cart? (I mean it’s ok to buy a gift for yourself for the holidays, right?).

#11- Baker’s Necklace –  If you’re worried the baker on your list has just about everything. Then this might be the perfect solution.  I would bet a whole bunch of donuts, then this gift you can guarantee they won’t have. I think this one is my favorite.

#12- Apron To Bake In – How thoughtful would this gift be when they open and see this? Lots of options. You could go with a personalized apron (super thoughtful).  A fun saying like bakers gonna bake. How about super frilly and cute? A festive one for the holidays? Or one with baking conversions that are upside down (they just flip up the apron when they need it, so it’s right side up for the baker!  So helpful.

This is a great gift idea as well if the baker in your life is a young budding pastry chef. These personalized kids’ apron are just so darn cute aren’t they?

#13- Dessert Salt Set – Ok now this one is something that I think your baker will totally love and inspire many desserts with. And I think it’s one that they wouldn’t splurge on themselves, which is why it makes a great gift. I mean hand harvested salts from the best salt farms in the world? How cool is that to open?

Salt and sweet go hand in hand- think salted caramel. And these salts are the perfect finish to any dessert creation.

Related Gift: A great gift to go along with this is this cookbook to help them know what to do with this salts- Sea Salt Sweet

#14- Baking T-Shirt – Ok these baking shirts are just too awesome not to mention. Like baking is my superpower? Or bakers gonna bake? Who doesn’t want to wear that all day? Trust me, if youre sister, mother, friend loves baking they will love this t-shirt. Promise.

#15- Digital Measuring Cup – Ok this thing is just too cool Any baker would love this. Trust me. Because it’s on my list. It’s a 2-in-1 digital scale and measuring cup! You might be rolling your eyes at me if you’re not a baker. But trust me, this thing is pretty awesome.

#16- Cupcake Spatula –  This thing is too cute, and would make the perfect stocking stuffer. Not only is it a sturdy silicone spatula they can actually use, it’s just SO cute too. Win. Win.

#17- Banneton Bread Proofing Basket Gift Set – For the bread lovers, this basket gift set would be perfect for them to create those rustic crusty loaves of bread at home!

#18- Kitchen-Aid Apple Peeler (Spiralizer)  – This will make quick work for you baker when they want to whip up apple pies during the holidays! And hey, it will multi-task in making spiralized veggie noodles for those low-carb dinners so they can balance it out with all that dessert making. I love when a gift actually can be used all year long (not just for baking)

So I hope this gift guide for the baker in your life this holiday season helps to make your gift getting a bit easier. If you need more ideas, then check out these gifts for bakers on Amazon. Happy Holidays friend 🙂

#19-  Oven Mitt Gift Set – Again if you’re worried your baker has everything. Trust me, they do have oven mitts. But you can never have enough! And I love fun festive ones like these!

#20- Clip Timer – Nothing worse than burnt cookies. Or well burnt anything. But this clip timer now frees up your baker to go run around the house and get other stuff done. For me that’s laundry in the basement. With this timer I don’t have to worry about not hearing my timer go off in the kitchen!

#21 –  A cookbook stand –  This stand will make reading recipes for your baker a breeze. Whether it’s a cookbook or a tablet! And it’s meant for bakers. Just check out that awesome design.

#22The Danish Dough Whisk – This is one of those unique gifts that is also super useful. And that most bakers probably don’t have. This whisk will make it easier to mix dough for breads, pizzas, and other yeasted goodies your baker can dream up.

#23- A beautiful cake stand – This cake stand is well it’s just simply gorgeous. And if your baker loves to display his or her desserts (and who doesn’t?) then this cake stand is something they will treasure for a long time!

#24- Revolving Cake Stand – Speaking of cake stands, this cake stand is not for display. Instead it’s for the behind the scenes frosting and decorating phase of the cake creation. If your baker loves decorating cakes, this revolving cake stand makes quick work of it. My favorite is this one by Atecco.

#25- Cookie Cutter Set – Tis’ the season for cookies right? So why not an epic cookie cutter set like this 101 cookie cutter set from Wilton? Or maybe just a holiday set like this one? I prefer cookie cutters with the comfort grip for ease when making my sugar cookies!

There you go- 25 gifts that would make any baker smile this holiday season! Of course that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many options when it comes to gifts for bakers. Hopefully after this, you can cross off at least one person on your list!

Happy (holiday) baking!
